Genome-wide association mapping of genotype-environment interactions affecting yield-related traits of spring wheat grown in three watering regimes

چکیده

Genotype-environment interaction (GxE) has a great impact on wheat physiology, morphology and grain yield (GY). We evaluated an association mapping panel of spring advanced lines for chlorophyll content, canopy temperature (CT), yield-related traits under three different watering regimes in two consecutive growing seasons. Genome-wide identified 457 SNPs, with significant effects that varied the seasons, which 199 69 SNPs showed pleiotropic conditionally neutral effects, respectively, measured traits. mapped 61 higher than 10% all traits, showing antagonistic CT, corresponding to 46 genes; some these genes represent good candidates control response water availability. Surprisingly, no were semi-dwarfing genes, Rht-B1b or Rht-D1b. However, haplotype analysis located at positions both revealed interactions GY season selected genotypes outperformed local check cultivars; them overlapped across could be used create multi-parent population further unravel genetic factors underlying component drought stress. Our results demonstrate importance incorporating GxE models better understand select stable markers selection.

Genotype–environment interactions affecting preflowering physiological and morphological traits of Brassica rapa grown in two watering regimes

Plant growth and productivity are greatly affected by drought, which is likely to become more threatening with the predicted global temperature increase. Understanding the genetic architecture of complex quantitative traits and their interaction with water availability may lead to improved crop adaptation to a wide range of environments. Here, the genetic basis of 20 physiological and morpholog...

Genome-Wide Association Mapping of Yield and Grain Quality Traits in Winter Wheat Genotypes

The main goal of this study was to investigate the genetic basis of yield and grain quality traits in winter wheat genotypes using association mapping approach, and identify linked molecular markers for marker assisted selection. A total of 120 elite facultative/winter wheat genotypes were evaluated for yield, quality and other agronomic traits under rain-fed and irrigated conditions for two ye...

Parametric model based assessment of genotype×environment interactions for grain yield in durum wheat under irrigation

The objectives of this study were to assess the genotype (G) by environment (E) interaction of grain yield of durum wheat(Triticum durum Desf.) based on parametric models, additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) and joint linear regression models; and compare the relative efficiency of the two models in explaining the GE effects. Twenty-three genotypes were evaluated across ...

Genome-Wide Linkage Mapping of QTL for Yield Components, Plant Height and Yield-Related Physiological Traits in the Chinese Wheat Cross Zhou 8425B/Chinese Spring

Identification of genes for yield components, plant height (PH), and yield-related physiological traits and tightly linked molecular markers is of great importance in marker-assisted selection (MAS) in wheat breeding. In the present study, 246 F8 RILs derived from the cross of Zhou 8425B/Chinese Spring were genotyped using the high-density Illumina iSelect 90K single nucleotide polymorphism (SN...

Genome-Wide Association Mapping of Anther Extrusion in Hexaploid Spring Wheat

In a number of crop species hybrids are able to outperform line varieties. The anthers of the autogamous bread wheat plant are normally extruded post anthesis, a trait which is unfavourable for the production of F1 hybrid grain. Higher anther extrusion (AE) promotes cross fertilization for more efficient hybrid seed production. Therefore, this study aimed at the genetic dissection of AE by geno...
